Baby Washing

With the lovely weather (on and off!) the boys have been taking advantage of it to strip off and get messy in the garden,  so after a bit of painting I had the perfect clean / messy activity I had seen on Pinterest here and wanted to give a try.

I gathered all the boys' 'babies' plus a few cuddly toys, a couple of washing up bowls, some soap and a load of towels and told the boys it was the babies' bath time!

They set to washing their hair, undressing them and giving them a good scrub! They played together absolutely beautifully and it was such a fun activity for a hot day.

I wonder what the boys would think if I rinsed their hair off by dunking them head first!! Poor baby!

Your comments make my day! Do let me know what you think!

More seaside exploits and an eventful day!

We borrowed a friend's beach house for the morning on our second day and the boys had a great time searching for green sea glass, digging and splashing! The stairs were a big climbing temptation though and while I don't usually mind a bit of climbing, the stone was slippery with seaweed and the steps very hard and steep so we went back to play at Mum and Dad's.

The next day we decided to set off for Jaywick beach as there is loads of sand but just as we were about to leave, a combination of Mum and Eden (lets blame mostly Eden - he's usually trouble!) managed to get us locked out! We managed to get a ladder and I had the excitement of breaking in through a top window!

Eden was happy to play driving whilst all the excitement was going on!

We finally got in and then out to the beach where I managed to have a gorgeous swim in the sea! Sand castles were built and a lovely day was had!

That is until we got home and Dad went over on his ancle and broke his foot!!!!

Hope you get better soon Dad! xxxxx
PS Hope we can still come to stay again!!

Oh I do like to be beside the seaside!

We're spending a couple of days at Mum and Dad's in Clacton and the boys have had a blast today on the pier and the beach!

First today was a quick wizz on the scooter...

Then we set off to the pier where the driving rides were certainly the biggest hit!

Definitely the best bit though was the sea! Can't beat it!

Grandad brushed sand from little boys' toes

I couldn't resist a quick go myself on the cowboy shooting range before we left!!

Kitchen Part 4

It's finally finished!!!!!
Well there's a few finishing touched to be done and personalisation but it's is up and running and I'm so pleased with it!

So the next step after my last post was the units to be fitted.

Eden loved playing hide and seek in the cupboards!

Dan trimmed a lot to fit and I helped too!

Then the worktops were cut to size, fitted and oiled.

The sink and oven went in

The wall was tiled...

And the first meal was made and washing up could be done whilst the children played!

Since then the dish washer has been in use every night and my hands are in so much better condition!

It's such a lovely space to spend time in and Dan has done a remarkable job!

I love the way the floor carries through into the hallway and the kitchen fairy has moved in already too!
